2020 Vision
Did you begin your year with high hopes and a clear vision of what this year of 2020 would be; However, due to the current events you find yourself struggling to see the goodness of God through the terror of COVID-19? Does the unknown suddenly have you fear stricken, weighted with worry, or bound with regret? Beloved, you don’t have to be bound. You don’t have to be tormented. You can be free! Yes, you can be free in the midst of chaos!
Events may have changed, and your plans may have been shifted; but God’s word remains! Don’t allow circumstances to cloud your vision; but fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart (Hebrews 12:2-3). God said in John 16:33, “In this world you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world.” If He has already overcome the world and everything in it, then we have power to overcome as well. Though things are not as we originally planned, God’s purpose will prevail (Proverbs 19:21). Be encouraged friend and know that according to 1 Corinthians 2:9, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have it entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
I implore you to read and recite the word of God daily over your life. Allow it to come to life and to penetrate your heart and your mind. I pray that as you read and recite the word that it will minister to your situation, encourage you and cause you to seek God for new vision, new revelation and a renewed zeal for the things of God. Speak life my friend and life you shall have!
