Your Worship is a Weapon
Let us shake off the residue of this past year. Let us dust off the remnants of even last night. I know there has been heart break. I know there has been pain. I know there has been loss. I know there has been disappointment and setbacks. I know there has been lack. I know about the doubt. I know about the fear of the unknown. I know about being stuck. I know about the struggle to let go. I know about the struggle to fight to keep your peace. I know about the struggle to fight to take the high road. It’s not easy. It doesn’t feel good and at times it looks pretty bleak. But I am here to encourage you! All is not lost! Don’t give up! Don’t give in! Don’t shrink back!
Jehovah Saboath, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies is with us! He’s not only with us on the mountain top, but He’s with us in the valley lows. When you can’t see your way. When you don’t have it to fight in your own strength. When you’re ready to throw in the towel, THE LORD OF HOST is with you where ever you are. ON THE SICK BED? He’s there. IN THE JAIL CELL, He’s there. IN THE COURT ROOM, He’s there. HE’S FIGHTING YOUR BATTLES, HE’S ROARING WITH POWER. HE’S PUSHING BACK DARKNESS, HE’S MAKING CROOKED WAYS STRAIGHT, HE’S MAKING ROUGH PATHS SMOOTH, HE’S DEFEATING THE ENEMY AND HE IS WORTHY OF OUR PRAISE.
Psalm 149:6 says “let the high praises of God be in their mouth and a two edged sword in their hand”. Do you not know that YOUR WORSHIP IS A WEAPON? I said YOUR WORSHIP IS A WEAPON. WE WORSHIP AND WE WAR. WE WORSHIP AND WE WAR. WE LIFT UP HIGH PRAISES to a mighty God who inhabits the praises of His people and He dispatches warring angels on our behalf to contend with those that contend with us. He’s mighty to deliver you out of any situation. He’s mighty to save you and to snatch you from the grips of any pit. And when you acknowledge HIM and WHO HE IS in light of what you’re going through; YOU CONFUSE the enemy and YOU FRUSTRATE his plans! I said YOUR WORSHIP CONFUSES THE ENEMY AND IT FRUSTRATES his plans.
So in the midst of your storm lift up a warring sound of worship. Worship Him with a new song. Worship Him with the sound of instruments. Worship Him with dance. Worship Him with praise and push back the darkness in your life. Tell the enemy “back up off me Satan my worship belongs to the most high God”.
Father we love you. Daddy we adore you, nothing above you and nothing before you, I AM we need you. We worship you above our circumstances. We magnify you above our fear. Thank you for being our banner. We’ll praise you through our pain. We’ll worship you through the warfare for our weapons are not carnal but mighty to the pulling down of EVERY stronghold. Thank you Jesus for being our refuge. Thank you Jesus for being our Strong Tower. Thank you Jesus for being the Healer. Thank you Jesus for being the Deliverer. Thank you Jesus for being the Breaker. Thank you Jesus for being Peace. Thank you Jesus for being Love. Thank you Jesus for being our Friend. You truly are everything that we need, everything we desire, everything we hope for.
So God we posture our hearts before you, we lift up holy hands and reverence you and from the fruit of our lips we give you praise. King of Glory fill our hearts. Father receive our praises. Lord receive our worship and dispatch warring angels on our behalf. Dispatch ministering angels on our behalf. When we have done all that we can do, we will stand firm and wait on you to fight our battles. Our trust is in you and you alone. No matter what we go through you are greater. So we rest in your love, we take refuge in the power of your might.
Take your eyes off your circumstance and trust God to strengthen you and to make you triumph through every trial and tribulation.
