Are You Weary?
To be weary means to have exhausted strength, endurance, vigor, or freshness; having one’s patience, tolerance, or pleasure exhausted. (Merriam-Webster)
It is easy to become weary from battling the trials of life. It is easy to stop believing that something you want to happen might be possible after waiting for so long and not seeing the manifestation of it. There are times that we allow disappointment and the opinions of other’s to dictate our lives and how we respond to challenges. I just want to take a few moments to encourage and to pray for you.
For the one who struggles to see the value in who you are and who you were created to be; I pray that you begin to see that you were fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14) You are chosen. (1 Peter 2:9) You are worthy. (Matthew 6:26) You are capable. You are stronger than you think. You are loved. You are a victor and not a victim. You are more than a conqueror. (Romans 8:37) I pray that you come into the knowledge of who God says that you are. That you realize that you are not your past, you are not the results of the decisions that you make, you are not who the world has labeled you to be. I pray that you awaken to the strength and power that is within you and that you walk unapologetically in that. I silence the naysayers and reverse every curse spoken over your life knowingly and unknowingly. I pray that you hear God’s voice telling you who you are louder than you hear the enemy telling you who you are not.
For the one who has lost hope and is ready to give up; I pray that Faith arises in and through you. (Hebrews 11:1) I pray that the joy of the Lord be your strength and that His voice outweighs every other voice telling you to give up. (Nehemiah 8:10) God has a plan to prosper you and to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11) I pray that your eyes are opened to see that He is for you not against you. I pray for endurance to withstand and to overcome the difficulties that life presents. (Romans 15:4) I pray that you are saturated with God’s love and His faithfulness. I pray that your eyes are opened to see all that you have, all that you are and who you are being shaped and molded to be.
For the one that is lost and is searching; I pray that you develop a hunger and thirst after the righteousness of God that you shall be filled. (Matthew 5:6) I pray that you begin to draw from His well of love, of peace, of joy, of wisdom, of strength, of validation, of affirmation, of intimacy. His well never runs dry and He will never fail you. He is not a man that He should lie. (Numbers 23:19) His promises are Yes and Amen. (2 Corinthians 1:20) In Him you can be made whole with nothing missing, nothing lacking, nothing broken. (James 1:4) In Him every void can be filled, every broken place can be healed. In Him you can find rest. (Psalm 62:5)
No one is perfect and many of us are out here doing the best that we can with what we have. God wants us to know that we don’t have to do it all alone. He sent His son to ensure that we have an abundant life. (John 3:16) He sent the Holy Spirit to lead and to guide us, to teach and to encourage us, to build and to correct us. (John 15:26-27) God has given us everything we need for life and godliness to ensure that we are successful on this earthly journey. (2 Peter 1:3) It is up to us to receive what He has already given us and to walk in it. We don’t have to accept what the enemy presents and we don’t have to stay in the brokenness that we have made our home.
I pray that this has encourage you to believe there is more and strengthened you to go out and achieve what ever it is that God has placed inside of you to do.
